Campo Marzio pens come with a standard (CPA) six-month guarantee on manufactured parts (excluding refills), this excludes the following: wear & tear, paintwork & lacquer, clips on pens, cracks, scratches & dents and abuse or misuse by the owner.

We recommended cleaning your pen with a soft damp cloth as certain cleaning detergents could cause a chemical reaction and discolour your product. To avoid discolouration of your pen, please clean your pen on a regular basis.

Fountain Pens

• A fountain pen loves to be used! Ink in a fountain pen will flow most smoothly when the pen is used on a regular basis, as the nib of a fountain pen will adjust itself more readily to the user's style as it wears down

• When writing, use a constant pressure on the nib, but avoid pressing down hard or excessively as that may damage the nib.

• ‣ Always use good quality paper when writing with a fountain pen, as paper that is too coated will not absorb the ink well and if too fibrous may actually clog your pen

• When traveling on an airplane with your fountain pen, make sure your cartridge is completely removed and your pen clean, as your pen will leak due to the difference in pressure

• When your pen gets clogged, remove your ink cartridge and flush the nib with cool water, repeating this process several times until the water runs clear. Wipe excess water from the nib using a soft dry cloth

• If the pen is very clogged, leave the uncapped nib soaking overnight in a glass of water. Boiling hot water is not recommended as it may cause your nib to discolour and fall apart

• When not writing with your fountain pen, store it in an upright position with the nib facing upwards. It is recommended to use your pen on a regular basis to avoid the nib from getting clogged. Always remove your ink cartridge and flush the nib with water as noted above before storage

• Make sure your fountain pen is capped at all times when not in use, so that the ink will not evaporate or become thicker and clog your pen

Very often, a problem with writing may just be due to the fact that the pen needs to be cleaned and refilled. Campo Marzio's fountain pens use standard cartridge refills, which is available for purchase at our stores in a variety of colours.
